Cool Camping Hacks To Up Your Game
Nothing can compare to the liberating experience of returning to the ruggedness of nature on a camping trip. But not everything should be difficult, and these camping hacks will make your time in the wilderness much more enjoyable.
Freeze several bottles of water
These will take longer to melt than bagged ice and will keep your food fresh when you put them in your ice chest. Once they melt they will keep you nicely hydrated.
Go solar
Instead of keeping your fire lit all night long, bring some solar pathway lights to set up near your tent. They will recharge during the day and keep you from tripping over objects at night.
Warm clothes for cool mornings
The best way to keep your clothes warm for the next morning is to place them in your sleeping bag with you. Your body heat will warm then overnight, and they will be nice and toasty in the morning.
Don't forget to carry duct tape
There is nothing that duct tape can't do and will serve you well in case you have to repair a tear in your tent or solve a number of problems. You can even use it to make a temporary splint or cast in case of an accident!
Snacks can start a fire
If you can't find any dry kindling for your camp fire? Reach out for the bag of Doritos and get it started in no time at all!
Natural bug repellent
Throw a bundle of sage, some rosemary or dried eucalyptus leaves into your camp fire and mosquitoes will steer clear of your camp.
